A portrait of nature becoming human — and humanity returning to nature.

Description:

Iris is a poetic and symbolic artwork from the Flower Folk collection — a series inspired by the quiet magic of nature and the reminder that we are not separate from it. In this piece, a human face emerges gently from the petals of an iris, blurring the boundary between person and flower. It speaks to belonging, softness, and the beauty we create when we live in rhythm with the natural world.

The artwork features deep violet, golden ochre, and soft sage tones — a textured palette that feels both earthy and ethereal. It carries the spirit of folk art, storybook illustration, and botanical myth, making it especially suited for eclectic gallery walls, cottage interiors, and soulful, nature-reflective homes.

Like all pieces in the Flower Folk collection, Iris is about learning to see the unseen — the life inside the quiet, the magic inside the ordinary.

What size print should I get?

A good rule of thumb: measure the wall space you have in mind and choose a print that fills roughly two-thirds of it. For a statement piece above a sofa or bed, go bigger than you think — prints almost always look smaller on the wall than they do on screen. If you're unsure, get in touch with your wall dimensions and I'll help you choose.

How do I frame these prints?

All prints are sized to standard frame dimensions, so they're easy to frame off-the-shelf from IKEA, most home stores, or a local framer. You will never go wrong with a simple natural wood frame for my art prints. But I also recommend experimenting with coloured frames and mats, if that is your style. If you'd like specific framing advice, just get in touch.

What is a giclée print?

Giclée is a fine art printing technique using pigment-based inks that produce deep, rich colour and exceptional durability — up to 100 years without fading. It's the same method used for museum-quality reproductions worldwide.

What paper are your prints printed on?

My prints are generally printed on Canson Rag Photographique II 310G — a premium archival cotton paper with a smooth, matt surface, deep blacks, and museum-quality finish. Open Edition prints sent to the US will be printed on Moab Entrada Bright White 290gsm — made from 100% cotton, with a slightly textured, smooth surface and exceptional colour reproduction for beautiful long-lasting prints.

Are prints made to order?

Yes — every print is made fresh to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Once you place your order, printing begins, so each piece is produced specifically for you.

Are your prints limited edition?

Some prints are limited editions and some are open editions. Limited edition prints are clearly marked in the product description — once they sell out, they won't be reprinted.

What are the shipping costs?

Denmark: 40 kr.  EU: 13.95 €  USA: $10 for non-limited prints (shipped from within the US) or $80 for originals and limited editions (from Denmark).  Other countries: 37 AUD. Exact rates are confirmed at checkout.

What is your return policy?

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Read more about my return policy here.
