From the collection, Flower Folk, which is about learning to see the magic in nature, and reminding us that we are also a part of nature, we too can create beauty and miracles.

This painting was made to challenge the widespread notion of the Western culture, that humans are smarter, better, and in all ways above nature. We humans come from nature, we are still a part of nature, and we are completely dependent on the plants, the animals, and fungi. No flowers, no humans! But the flowers will without any problems keep thriving and blooming long after the humans are gone, just as they did before we were here. The flowers and plants are so much older and wiser than us, we need to be humble, respectful, and open to learn from these elders if we want to know the keys to surviving on this planet for as long as the flowers already have. 

The paintings in this collection are all highly textured to give the illusion that they have been painted directly on a rock or a weathered wall. The paintings in this collection are all painted on wooden boards coated with a thick layer of crushed pumice rocks - pumice is a kind of volcanic stone, that is created when volcanos erupt - and a final layer of oil paint is gently painted on top of the pumice in natural tones and simplistic imagery. The painting comes in a light oak frame, ready to hang, signed on the back, and with a certificate of authenticity.
