The concept of interconnectedness and "kinship" in nature shifts our worldview from seeing humans as masters over nature to seeing humans as members of nature.

It emphasizes that all living beings share deep ancestral, biological, and ecological ties.

This view rejects the idea that humans are the center of the universe. It grants equal moral value to non-human lives.

I see this collection as a turning point in my artistic practice.

I have spent month's researching and experimenting with different natural materials to create a process that relies solely on natural or recycled materials to produce my textured oil paintings.

Being an environmentally responsible artist is a journey, that I'm committed to take, because to me it's only natural to do my part to protect the natural world that inspires all of this work.

The paintings in this collection are all painted on heavy boards made from recycled milk cartons, which I have coated with a thick layer of crushed pumice rocks mixed with a number of other natural materials like sand, hay, and clay powder, to create a very unique texture.

Pumice is a kind of volcanic rock, that is created in eruptions.

And finally I have gently painted a layer of oil paint on top of the textured surface in neutral tones and simplistic imagery.

The oil paint I'm using is made from a plant-based oil and pure pigments.
